About Me
Where I'm From
I'm from Virginia, born and raised. I grew up in the suburbs of Richmond and on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. I played high school football at L.C. Bird where I was a 3-year letterman playing linebacker, offensive guard and long snapper on a perennial district championship team. I attended the University of Virginia and graduated in 2000, after which I worked in two Virginia Governors' administrations and enjoyed living in various parts of RVA.
How I Got Here
After working in government for the first few years of my career, I pivoted and obtained my Virginia real estate license, which I kept active for about a year before deciding to experience something new by moving to the West Coast. I lived in San Francisco for a year and worked in high tech public relations in 2005. Think pre-iPhone, pre-Facebook, and pre-Amazon. It was truly a different world back then. After a year in California, I decided to return to the East Coast, eventually landing in Charlotte where I met my wife, Lauren, and resumed my real estate career.
Where I'm Going
In addition to being a REALTOR at JPAR Carolina Living, I'm also a digital content creator - who isn't these days? - and a new parent to a rambunctious 1.5-year-old boy named Lucas. Being a parent is at the same time the most joyful and perplexing experience all at the same time. And I love it. I also recently launched The CLT Life Apparel, so there's that. So where am I going in the next five years? Physically speaking, likely nowhere except for travel. Career wise, I'm always evolving and see myself combining my passions for marketing & content creation, creative design work, and real estate into a career that is both lucrative and fulfilling.
